Has anyone else noticed that the quality of the cups and the lids have gone down drastically recently? For example, sometimes the rim around the hot cups is folded weird so the lids don’t stay on and if it’s a macchiato especially, we have to remake the entire drink. With iced cups, sometimes when I try to just carry the cup closer to an ice bin after the drink is basically fully made, it folds in and bends so it feels like the cup is going to implode (or actually does implode). Also, I’ve noticed lots of grande iced cups in specific have been coming with folds at the bottom so when you put it down on the counter, it can rock side to side because of the outward fold. Grande/venti flat lids seem to be coming stuck together more and more so it is nearly impossible to separate them, grande/venti cold foam lids don’t fit properly on the cup (they’re usually slightly to big so if I go to hand off the drink, the lid just flies right off and I have to go through 3 or 4 lids before I can find one to actually stay on the cup). It seems like this is becoming more and more of a problem at my store, especially during rushes, because we have to remake drinks or they spill or the customer spills it because the lid won’t stay on etc etc. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know why this is such a problem?
