Should I apply at Starbucks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by lowserotoninlevels
Hello everyone,

I’m about to head into college, and I recently quit my job at Chick-fil-A due to issues with coworkers and management (a horrible, biased and unfair manager and co-workers that didn’t give me the time of day). I enjoyed working there in terms of always being busy and interacting with people (although there were a fair share of Karen’s).

I don’t mind being under pressure and I consider myself good at multitasking. I am really passionate about coffee and although I’ve applied to local coffee shops, I was wondering if it would be worth it to apply to Starbucks as well.

I know it varies from store to store but I’d really like to work with people who actually talk to me and make me feel welcomed. Should I apply or keep searching for other jobs? Are the hours flexible? My schedule is pretty open but I don’t think I could consider myself to be a full time employee.

yes go for it! at least at my store everyone is great and my store manager is super flexible, if anyone can't make a time they're scheduled for you just have to talk to her. she also asks for your availability and is super understanding about it especially since some people here are still students. go for it!! you won't regret it :)
