Making my own ice coffee (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by iindiieecindiee
As much as I love hot coffee it is still to hot for it right now and I haven’t been getting my markouts because of the hot weather. I was wondering if it is possible or would it even taste good if I used one of my coffee markouts and was able to turn it into ice coffee? I’m guess I can I just don’t know how the water to coffee ratio would work. Help please.

And how would the water ratio work?

Start with a 1:7 ratio and go from there

I typically just brew my coffee (with my Keurig) extra strong and then cool it off completely before adding ice and any cream

I do the cold brew in a french press. Or brew a full batch of beans with half of the water and add ice after

I live in Az and drink ice coffee year round. I get a dark roast (cafe verona) and brew it over ice using my keruig and then add creamer and sweet n low 😍

We do iced pour overs at work too! My favorite is an iced veranda, you just brew the normal amount of coffee for the size, but you use less water and brew it over a cup full of ice! It’s really good. We do the same at home, like brewing a full pots worth of coffee grounds on a half batch and fill the pot with ice!
I’m not sure how the ration would work with a French press, but I would assume similar concept, same amount of coffee, half the water, pour over ice
