tall rant in a grande cup (self.starbucksbaristas)

Do people just always like to complain, and in the most disrespectful way possible? Especially at the hand off counter to the bar two barista? Earlier today, about ten minutes before I got off, a woman came up to me while I was in a middle of handing off a drink and was like “is there a problem?” And me being clueless as to what she wanted and who she was, was like “no what’s wrong?” But she kept saying “is there a problem”. Then she had the audacity to say “is everyone incompetent here?” And started freaking out cause she got the wrong bagel, and not enough soy milk in her coffee. Even though I tried to explain that I wasn’t the one who made either things, and explain that it was the person at the register. She then proceeded to yell that I’m trying to “be the hero” and stick up for them, rather than listen to her. When I tried to express to her that we could fix the items she bought, she didn’t want them to be fixed and just wanted her refund. In the end, my shift supervisor who wasn’t even clocked in, helped by giving her a refund and a 4 dollar gift card. Because when you work at Starbucks, instead of sticking up for ourselves we have to take it and “make the moment right” *sighs*

Not to forget to mention she was incredibly rude to my coworker who was working the register, claiming he “didn’t know anything”.

People like that have miserable lives, the way I see it is she’s gonna let something so small ruin her entire day. Don’t fret, we’re Starbucks baristas stonecold motherfucking killahs

Surprisingly we don’t get that many people acting entitled (we are a highway store, we get pretty busy but have soooo many regulars) and she was at the store for a couple hours before she got a refill for her coffee and didn’t cause any problems till a partner of mine accidentally rang it up wrong the first time, and that’s when crap hit the fan. People who get so pissy at customer service workers should rethink things in their own lives... but honestly I agree the amount of stuff we go through, we definitely become stonecold and thick skinned

God I hate that so much I get so triggered by people asking dumb questions that’s supposed to be a grade (meaning large) I was like nope it’s our medium

I literally had that happen the other day, I handed a drink out and she was like “is this a grande?”, and I was like “yes”. She then pointed to a venti drink next to hers saying “I wanted this size.” I rather people say small medium or large.. or asking what our sizes names are, rather getting pissy for not ordering the right size as if it’s our fault...
