i understand people want "high quality" coffee and sometimes unfortunately they get lukewarm coffee. i had a regular come in and he's already a bit annoying bc of how he talks to us but we remembered his order and we just punch it in and read it back to him for verification just so we don't have to deal with him for so long. he always asks which coffee is freshest and of course it's usually pike. the other day though we brewed dark and pike at the same time so when he asked i said they're about the same. he asked how long ago and i said less than 5 minutes.... LESS THAN 5 MINUTES. you guys know our coffee can stay boiling, steaming hot in there. i suppose he didn't like that and asked for a pike pourover.... let me repeat... we had just made a full batch of fresh pike... and he choose a pour over in the middle of our rush... i am one pour over away from quitting

It’s annoying. I agree. After 6 years When someone orders one I try and not let it get to me. I make it and keep going. It’s annoying as hell but my emotions are run down by this place anyway 😭

We have a guy order pour overs because he likes it stronger. Every fucking day during peak.

Doesn't want an espresso shot added even if we're brewing espresso for dark because he doesn't want to pay extra.

Once I burned my hand pouring someone’s coffee and he insisted on seeing the burn mark to make sure it was “hot enough”

I get questions from friends and family sometimes about “what the most annoying drink order is” that we get, and I gotta be honest, it’s not any particular drink order that pisses me off. Even frappy hour is manageable because our store is well-set up. My new answer to this question is, “when someone asks what our freshest coffee is.” 9/10 times I have no idea because I’m busy ringing/barring/doing DT/warming shit and haven’t been paying attention to the hour and minute CS last brewed new coffee. I’ve had some customers who honest to God expected us to make *an entire fresh new batch* because their snowflake ass can’t deal with coffee that’s 5 minutes old.
