A fucking great morning (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by _dorothyhm_
A customer ordered a tall dark with a little bit of room so I filled the cup up until it was a few millimeters from the top. I put a lid on the cup so he wouldn’t burn himself walking with it to the front where all of our milk and stuff is. This fucker grabs the cup by the lid and pulls it off before I’ve set the coffee down so then it spills all over my hand and a little touches him. He then goes on to tell me that it’s my fault he got burnt bc he asked for room and that there shouldn’t have been so much coffee in the cup and makes me get him a new one before I can clean anything or tend to my burns.

Thanks random man for purposely spilling burning hot coffee on me bc you were upset I really appreciated it

This lady once grabbed her nitro by the lid and it fell off making a huge mess and she was pissed we didnt “put the lid on tight enough” maam it was, you just grabbed 16 oz of liquid by the thinnest lid known to man kind

The nitro kids freaking suck at staying on though, let's be real.

A different perspective. Not to excuse my his customers behavior BUT I’d be willing to bet cash that when he’s asked for a little room perviously he’s been handed a cup 3/4s full. On more than one occasions, which is a tall amount of coffee. So he checks. And he accidentally spilled coffee on you but his ego is in the way. You mistake ignorance for maliciousness. We deal with 100s of people a day. All different backgrounds and reactions to emotions. I doubt his intentions were to spill coffee on and burn you.

Ignorance and irritability are much more common than maliciousness.
