returning? how? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by emogurl420uwu69
I was a corporate employee from 2015-2017, even became a trainer, but quit twice but was rehired both times, even transferred to a FL store, but was not able to transfer back when I chose to move back to my home town- the DM never responded to me when I asked why he denied it.
I had a lot of personal/mental health issues that I let really affect me & my worth ethic. I refused to get help, but have been in a much better place.
I wanted to go into health care so I did for a little but now I am back at a Target Starbucks.
I emailed my local (new) DM asking if I could return but she said they do not rehire a 3rd time.
I really want to return but I really don’t think I can.
does anyone have any tips? should I wait a year or am I completely SOL?
thanks xoxoxo 🖤

You can try again in a year and they might make an exception for a third rehire, but I would start looking at other options or just stay where you are at.

I think i’m going to stay where I am (Target Starbucks) for at least an year then maybe talk the local DM.

Wait, is this really a fucking thing? It's a *minimum wage service job.* I hear stories about stores in my region being chronically understaffed. Do they really keep track??? I had a coworker at the store where I started who said that he's been with the bux on and off for the better part of 10 years. I'm confused.

yeah its a thing. ya know, some people really enjoy it & dont go to school so a job is a job to them. you don’t have to be mean about it. thanks.

I didn't mean to come off as mean. I'm sorry if I came off that way. Rather, I'm shocked and appalled because that policy sounds so absurd, especially considering what the job is. I was also surprised because I thought I knew someone who had a different experience.

I hope your situation turns out the way you want. Fingers crossed.
