The best people (self.starbucksbaristas)

At our location, we have this guy. For the sake of anonymity we shall name him Doug. He always comes in around 9pm to get a dark roast pour over. And he is literally the most compassionate, gentle human being ever!
He always tells us how his day was and asks every barista that is working how theirs was. And he always brings a book or just his phone to play a Simpson's game.
Then after he greets everyone, he sits quietly at a hightop and drinks his coffee.
Shoutout to these kind of people!

Truly the unsung heroes of our day to day life. I work at a different location now but when I worked in a Safeway Starbucks kiosk we had this absolute sweet heart of an older woman - D for anonymity sake :) - And she would come in three times a day to order her tall royal English breakfast tea and sit in her special corner. Over time she’d learn everyone’s birthday in the kiosk and bring them flowers, on valentines she’s bring us all chocolate, and if someone was being a butt head in the cafe she would set them straight - D is a straight up bad ass. The one Christmas she was away at her sisters, she called and asked our manager to tell everyone on staff Merry Christmas. Just after I left, the Safeway management surprised her by having our window mural artist paint her on the window behind where she sits and writing above her caricature ‘D the Queen of Starbucks’. It’s still there three months later it makes her so happy.

Please try not to reveal the location you work at... It literally narrows down your identity to like 20 names, plus your username on top of that it makes it very very easy to dox you for anyone with access to the partner hub

We have a very kind young businesswoman who comes in like 5 times a day to get her venti iced tea and always asks how we're doing.

But forget her because there's a middle aged regular full of wit and harmless mischievousness who came in last week and gave every barista on the floor $20. Apparently this is just a thing she does to thank her baristas and I can expect it to happen again around the holidays and Chinese New Year.

We have a few that I love. We have one ill name C, C bring us donuts or cupcakes like once a week, she writes “love you all!” Or “have a great day!” And we love talking to her, she’s so sweet. The other one we have is M, M talks to us about our hobbies and what our favorite things are, he’s really cool. He makes a paper rose out of a napkin and leaves it behind on our table when he leaves.
