(**content notice?? for possible dysphoria**)

I’m posting the content notice in case it’s a sensitive subject for others, personally I don’t suffer from dysphoria but it regards something I’ve certainly been conscious about since probably middle school

Young dude comes into the store I’ve recently transferred to, I know he has a history of causing a ruckus to the point he’s very close to being banned. comes up to me, I’m alone on the floor, his face is beat up, (I later discover he was blasted drunk and got into a fight), he asks me for an iPhone charger to which I say “sorry, we don’t have any extras.. can I get you a water, though?” and asked if he was ok, he responds “I don’t want that, I want a phone charger”, clearly disgruntled, I tell him again “sorry bud, I can’t help you with that”, he rolls his eyes and says “yeah well you’re fat”

Immediately I laugh in his face and turn to finish steeping an iced tea. He was gone when I turned around again. Not sure how I would have responded if my coworkers weren’t in the back, or if there were customers. I don’t really know if I could have handled it better than that. I know he’s been problematic to my team and our patrons. I told my supervisor about what happened, she was very supportive and alerted our SM via text so she could take further measures if necessary. But I’ve been a partner four years now, I can’t remember the last time anyone’s gotten under my skin like that, no matter how composed I keep myself while I’m clocked in.
I’m so sorry if this has happened to more of you out there. I’d just like to know I’m not alone here. xoxo

Guy sounds like a Grade-A douche canoe.

When people like that get under my skin, I try to think about what a shitty existence it must be to go home with that kind of personality rolling around in your head.

Buck up. That guy isn’t worth your energy.
