Plus-Size Women's Work Clothes (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Jezi_Belle_
Hey all! I'm a new barista starting in a little over a week. I know not every store is equally strict about dress code, but at least to begin with, I figure I'll do everything by the book until I get settled in.

Unfortunately, I've had an awful time trying to find tops. I have several good pairs of pants, but shirts are eluding me. Shopping for plus sizes is a nightmare, everything's either graphic tees or loud patterns.

Does anyone have a good source for, idk, some nice dark polo shirts or something in women's plus sizes? (I wear a 2X-3X for reference, women's 22-24.) Thanks a ton for any help and I hope to hang around here more soon.

I’m a xl/1x and I find the most reasonable options at old navy. There sizes run a bit big so I wear and L/Xl in most of the tops there.

Walmart's new plus size line is actually really good. They have the basic 3/4 sleeve tops in black brown and gray for under $10.

That’s where I get mine. They’re great and cheap enough to not freak out if you get bleach on it.

Old navy does men’s polos for like $10-15 and those usually work well for me. I’m a 22-24, and get a double and they fit well. Also Walmart has a lot of nicer t-shirt options as well.

Ross is where I get all my clothes or target

Yeah, I went to Target yesterday. Their plus section is only about three racks. :/

Older post, but if you still need help: I get most of my work clothes on ThredUP. It’s an online thrift shop basically, but the items are thoroughly inspected, and can be returned. Very affordable. Lots of plus sized options including skirts, dresses, and pants. Starbucks destroys clothing with stains and little tears anyway, so I try not to buy new. Hope this helps!

I got my shirts from the men's section at Walmart. They have basic black, dark blue and grey t-shirts that are so comfortable and for $4.88 a peice. I go for comfort more then style because I want to focus on my job at work, not on how fancy I look lol I hope I helped💕💕
