How long until they call to interview? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi everyone! I’m interested in becoming a barista at any of the 3 Starbucks that are close to my campus (i’m in LA). I submitted applications on the taleo website yesterday. How long until I should expect to hear back? Any other tips? Thank you!

Call the store and let them know you put in an application! It will speed up the hiring process. I don’t know anyone who applied to my store that /didn’t/ have to call after applying to see the next steps.

Ok, do I call the store and ask to speak to the manager, or just talk to whoever answers and explain i submit an app? Thanks!

Ask to speak to the hiring manager or the store manager! There are a handful of shift leaders at every store and one of said shift leaders is in charge of hiring so talking to them would be most beneficial. If they’re not there, ask if you can leave your name and phone number so they can get back to you :-)

Hi thanks for all the help. I have bad anxiety about this sort of thing. Anyways I called and asked to speak to the store manager and he said the manager wasn’t in but would be back later in the day, so I’m going to call again tonite. Thanks!!!
