Friendly reminder that no job is worth your safety. If you do not feel comfortable going, tell your boss you won’t be showing up. Tell your coworkers to do the same.

I agree, no job is worth your own personal safety. If you dont feel comfortable about your safety at work when a Hurricane(which should be cause to close anyway) is on its way, please dont go.

Yeah. She said she’ll keep me posted and then this morning asked for more ppl to come in on Monday. I’m pissed bc it will not be safe for me to leave nor leave my car outside.

Yep I saw that. I’m not scheduled to work again until Saturday night and I don’t even want to come in then so I can have time to prepare, but doesn’t seem like that’ll happen.

I just don’t understand why starbucks is so important that it has to operate when a natural disaster is occurring??? We are not federal mandated workers. I already know i have to stay after my shift ends and then that starbucks morning shifts start at 3:00 am.

Are you south north or central, and are you coastal? Honestly if it’s going directly towards you I would not go, the storm is supposed to be peak late Monday...i love the company and my job there, Starbucks can **** ** *** ***** ****, I am not endangering my life for that place on Monday

I live in OK. I was born in WA so the tornado life is not one I grew up in. We had a day in May where the weather people were like “TODAYS THE DAY FOR F5 TORNADOS” I ended up calling in because my SM let me and didn’t want me to feel I would be in danger. Nothing ended up happening where we were but it was an active day and wanted to play it safe. The fact that y’all have a storm coming right for you and she’s still making you work is insane to me. No job is worth your safety. I’ve been getting notifications about the hurricane for 2 days. I wouldn’t go in if I were you.

I got an email from partner hub? I think with a thing to fill out with availability during the hurricane, basically to make sure you don’t get fired if you can’t come in. I’d check your email
