I don’t wanna sound mean when I say this, but she does not belong at Starbucks.
If you constantly have to correct her on the same things over and over again and she straight up refuses, she should not be working here. I hope your supervisor can realize this, or maybe she can realize herself - that if she is not WILLING to put in the work to do better, she should not be working here. (Obviously, give her a chance, but she sounds like she’s been given more than enough chances. I wish you luck.)

Insubordination, defiance of authority; refusal to obey orders, requires disciplinary action.

It is difficult for some of us as leaders to discipline and punish others because we come a functioning mindset of obeying authority and cooperating.

The behavior must be called out and stopped. Warning followed by disciplinary action. At the end of the day, it's not about being nice or likable: It's about being effective as a leader.

God I wish I could help you. I have a coworker whos the same way. She’s new and absolutely refuses any sort of customer connection. She won’t say hi to customers, she won’t do anything but stare at them with an annoyed look until they tell her their order, then walk away when its done. Our score went from high customer connection to low after she was hired.
Eventually our manager (whos too nice for discipline) took her off register and shes only on bar now. And now we’re back to our high customer connection score. Sigh.
