A girl I know from class just got hired and now she thinks she runs shit when she hasn’t even started training and even a coworker doesn’t like her already. I never wanted her to get the job regardless because I know she isn’t a good fit for the family we have built, but??? What should I do? Anything?

Nothing. She'll have her come-to-Jesus moment on her own time and either shape up her attitude, quit, or get her ass fired.

That kind of attitude tends to burn out fast. Sounds like she won't be at the store long.

Next time give your manager a heads up when someone applies who you know won't mesh well. If it's a good SM they should take current partners feelings into account.

Totally! I really wanted to in this situation but I was scared to cross a boundary or seem like I was trying to be a gatekeeper to who can or can’t work with us/didn’t want to seem unprofessional

One of our super-annoying regulars applied at our store once and we saw her contact info on the SM's desk (because she had called to follow up, not because we saw the application) and half of us wrote notes on the scrap of paper. A dozen all-caps "No!" in different handwriting and a "dear god no please". I don't even know if anyone explained to the SM why.

There are tactful ways of voicing your opinion (ours was definitely NoT) as long as you know the decision is ultimately up to the SM. But hang in there. Hopefully your pest will be gone soon.

people like that wont last real long. just give it time she'll either snap out of that attitude real quick or she'll get fired or quit. i know a girl like that from my 1st store many years ago and she stepped on to many toes and got let go. thankfully in Florida they can just let you go within the 1st 90 days of employment without cause. kinda a double edge sword but worked out for us lol

Tell your store manager of your experiences with her so far.

We had a guy do this, and he ended up being terminated before his first day.
