I am from south Alabama now working in a Memphis store. It’s mostly the same type people, but less bible-beating so they’re typically more friendly and less judgmental to anyone of color/on the spectrum/lgbtq
(I’m religious so don’t take offense! lol just the honest truth that southern religious folk aren’t always the friendliest)
ALSO try to avoid calling people, especially women of color, hun or girl. It’s something I do with almost everyone (being a southern girl) and a woman left a review on my store (before I started there) that someone called her hun and the partner was racist, etc. towards her. She was just stirring up shit to be difficult but there are people like that everywhere
I’ll include what she said just for laughs lol I’d put a name too if I could
“... was rude disrespectful and judgemental about how much food I was purchasing threw the drive threw. And her racist remarks I am not her Hun. I'm a proud Pastor and Doctor. The word Hun is used in the south towards blacks and other Nationalities as a stereo type that we're stupid and it isn't any of her business what I'm eating or who I'm ordering for. She just need to take the order and keep her big mouth close. “
Remember not everyone is rude, maybe 1/15 people are unpleasant, and 1/50 are like rude, rude

I never worked at a Knoxville store, but I lived in Tennessee my whole life up until a year ago. I worked at the Old Hickory location for about a year. Are you from Tennessee or out of state? If you’re from Tennessee you will probably be used to the kind of clientele already.
