But let me forget one thing on my close, and I’m the main closer btw, the other shifts refuse to close, I get passive aggressive texts the next morning. Like make sure the freezer is plugged in, when we found out it’s been catching on fire at the outlet! Oh the joys to be a partner.

I feel your pain. Trust me. I was a dedicated closer also. I just quit. McDonalds is cleaner and pays more lmfaoooooooo. Plus you actually have labor so you would have a team. I quit, and dont even regret it. They can have that nonsense, while I go get a job that allows me to be sick.

Our store too.

We’ve had call offs every day the last two weeks.

Our manager threw out our old floor mats because he ordered new ones— it’s been a week and they haven’t come.

We’re all about to lose our minds. I wish I was kidding. The store is filthy, we’re all completely demoralized.

I went off on my manager today— he came back from a conference in Chicago, started going on about connections with customers and store energy— I shut it down. I told him, “don’t start, don’t say what you’re going to say— the stores need to be better staffed, we need to be paid more,”

“Well I hire people and schedule them but they don’t show up—“

I cut him off “— pay us and staff the stores and they will— no one can stand coming in here, we hate it, we dread every day. It’s too much stress.”

It’s too much. I don’t care anymore. It’s not worth it.

What a disaster!!!!! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. It seems like no matter what store we work at, it will be the same old same old. I'm done now. And I know the partners that work for this company are great people and we do deserve more. More money, help, and appreciation. There are so many other jobs out there that will care for us. This is just fast food. The next Caribou Coffe I guess.... hang in there!

At our grocery store, they just put up a poster offering $100 bonuses for referring a new hire.

They can't just offer decent wages or give us full time hours, to take care of the store? We are overwhelmed and overrun by ants and fruit flies atm... And we are right near many schools that are back in session.

Today I was in DTO and the last hour of my shift I chimed into the headset between cars “I can’t do window and DTO, I can’t,”

I couldn’t. Physically could not multitask, and I’m usually a DT rock star/ multitasking. I can’t do it. I couldn’t do it.

What’s frustrating is the manager that stares at the baristas, as they are struggling to get their tasks done during closing time, and only call the baristas out on mistakes. The managers don’t help, and just supervise, and Instead of having three people closing, is two people doing the closing tasks.

True, although shift managers do have a bit of backroomish type things to do. I felt I was a decent shift. My pulls wouldnt go longer than 35 mins or so. And I did the count here and there when I could git it in. I mostly was a barista with the keys. It is the SM's that wont punish the mid shift but instead come after my integrity. Our store is more of a higher-up issue I feel.

You only took 35 minutes!? Our main closing shift spends literally about 3 hours in the back room at the end of the night. She does not leave the back room after 4:30pm and we close at 8.

My SM left over an hour early once when we were down a person, wait in our long ass line to order drinks and food while I had to stay late, and then had the audacity to tell me to “coach” someone to smile more. Needless to say, I no longer work for the Bucks.

It was just announced yesterday we will have more labor on our schedules! Saturday night was awful, I had 3 people after 8 on game day, which the stadium 2 miles away seats 85k+!!!

Ahhhh victory! It sucks that they didnt consider it before hand, but what matters is you got the help now. Makes me happy to hear partners winning. As for this location photographed, our manager never works nights, and will not schedule for help. Just put it all on the closer. As a matter a fact, when she is scheduled she is in the back room lmaooo.

I totally understand that. Our manager never works past 4-5 even if he’s scheduled on the floor. I had a manager a lot a different store that was never in and out herself and a partner that wasn’t with us any more on the schedule during Christmas at the mall!

Ha. Reminds me of when years ago some buddies covered a shift/barista close from a different store. Not only didn’t they stock anything, there was a ton of trash all around the bin. The trash bin itself was still empty, like they hadn’t considered even opening it to check. ::facepalm:: both eventually became managers (and both were untimely let go, for I assume idiocy at a core level)

Yuuuup. I still work hard, but don’t go the extra mile as much anymore. Not worth it when I’ve been a barista and trainer for five years and never get recognition or a raise for it. :( they think a fucking meditation app for free subscription and some slight increase in stock is suppose to make me happy? That shit doesn’t pay for my college or rent.....just sayin
