There's been talk in the main sub, but there's a lot of problems with unionising.
1. A whole district would have to do it at once. It'd have to be a collective thing as Starbucks is notorious for shutting down unions and firing those involved.
2. We would need a union that can actually fight for better wages, which likely means a union that can support striking. Striking could even mean a slow-down or a sit-in, but we would need enough leverage that firing everyone won't be lucrative.
There were some other points made
$1 but...I dunno, maybe i'm a pessimist. I just can't see a successful union attempt right now. Their PR is so great, it's very very easy for us to be replaced right now.
We need to start by ruining the mainstream media's view of Starbucks. We need more articles and viral videos of people talking about their negative experiences.
