Also, adding to the order at the window, especially if you’re quick to cut us off, tell us your order is set, and drive away before we can even tell you the total.

Asking the bar person for a sip lid when you get your drink instead of letting the barista taking the order know. They can put that on the sticker for you.

THIS ONE’S A BIGGIE. Please do not harass us about the specialty cups. I had a customer yesterday asking if we had the Halloween cups yet. We said no. She swore, and ordered her drink super aggressively. When asked if she wanted anything else, her response was “yeah I want one of the fucking Halloween cups” Please don’t. That’s not fair. You KNOW that’s not in our control. And when you talk to a barista that way you will 100% negatively affect that person and their mood/workability because now they’re distressed from being yelled at by a customer for something they cannot do anything about.

Also, please remember to tell your barista if you want a drink iced. By default our lattes/macchiatos are hot, and yes we are supposed to check, but also, you cannot expect us to KNOW you want it iced. We waste sooooo many drinks because people pull up to the window, see that hot cup and go oh I wanted it iced!

Please read the labels on drinks at the handoff. Instead of sitting down at the opposite end of the cafe and being upset when you didn’t hear us call it 3 times. The most annoying thing you can do is stare at a barista
making a drink and loudly exclaim, “Is THaT MInE??”

When I ask what size they yell “FOR HERE” or “IN a mug” at me. They’re usually teens/college students with their parents which is he most frustrating. : Im use older people/elderly doing it. They didn’t mention they wanted it for here until that point and it’s always so aggressive, and my store is quite busy so most orders are to go, so it’s normally assumed well put it in a paper cup.

Hand your cash for payment to your barista, please do not throw it on the counter.
