I am a shift and I have been back with the company for about 4 months. My hours started to get cut back and I had to look for a second job. I have spoken with the manager but he does not seem to listen...
Here is my question if I step down how much if any of a pay cut am I going to get? I don’t think I can deal with the stress of being a shift while working a second job as my store is high volume and labor cuts are effecting us.

You’ll most likely go down to starting barista pay. Sucks but is what happens to most.

I’d talk it over with your manager or your DM. If you step down maybe you can negotiate meeting half way (less then shift pay but a little more then a barista). I’m assuming if you don’t talk it over you might just end up the base barista pay. I’ve heard of shifts stepping down in my district and the DM let them keep their shift pay. But again every DM and manager is different and those people are super lucky.

I’m a shift at my store and I know for a fact your wage will be deducted, if you aren’t doing the shift work you’re not gonna get the shift pay
