hi! my boyfriend works at starbucks and he gets paid about $9.30 per hour. he says it’s very busy and stressful sometimes but not terrible! you get proper training and lots of initial help, and you get free food sometimes as well as coffee. there’s also some kind of university scholarship thing you can look into when you’re employed at starbucks! breaks are also definitely a thing according to him; he gets a break every time he works as far as i know.

It depends on where you live, but depending on where, you can be paid quite well. I get paid $12.77/hr in New York, but if you’re in the city it’s like $15something. For hours, it depends on your district, your store, your manager, and the time of hear. For example, I work at the busiest store in my district and it’s also school time (most of my store’s partners are students) so it’s just hours on hours on hours for me. My SM asked me to name a number and she’ll hit it, so I’m getting 35-40 hours every week.
Tips also depend on the store you work at and your location. My store gets bad tips compared to most of our district, so on a good 35-40hr week I get about $15-$20. But I’ve worked at other stores in the district and I’ve gotten $10 for just 4 hours of work, so it really does depend entirely on your store.
Personally, I really love the job. It has a lot of ups and downs, but the team I work with is fantastic and makes it all worth it at the end of the day. I never have worked for a Tims, but a few of my partners have and they all absolutely prefer Starbucks.
Edit: Also, if you’re in the US, for breaks - Starbucks follows the strictest rules from the strictest state nationally, so we get a 10 minute (paid) break for every 4 hours of work, and a 30 minute (unpaid, uninterrupted) break every 6 hours (if I recall correctly). So an average shift would be: 2 hours work, 10, 2 hours work, 30, 2 hours work, 10, two hours work go home.

I get paid 9.50 at my store and there are tons of benefits. You can get health insurance and the option to go to Arizona state university for free. Every shift you get 3 free drinks and a food item. Breaks are supposed to be every 2 or so hours (usually doesn’t happen that often). After a 6 hour shift you get a 30 minute break and after a 7 hour shift you are required at least a 30 and two 10 minute breaks. This only applies to corporate Starbucks and not licensed/franchises
