I currently work at McDonald's and want to find a new job. The reason I'm leaving is because of my GM and its causing me immense anxiety. I was wondering if applying at Starbucks would be a good idea. My friends works there and he was super exited about the idea of me working with him. I can keep calm under stressful situations. I’ve worked at McDonalds for just under 3 years and now I’m a starbucks partner. I much prefer starbucks because the benefits and the partners. McDonalds was just too greasy and full of a lot of assholes. I get maybe 5-10 assholes out of 150-200 customers a day at starbucks on a bad day. Go to starbucks and FUCK McDonalds.

If you don’t get stressed and overwhelmed easily, go for it. I work in a very high volume DT store, 4:30-10am and it’s quite stressful, for me anyways. The later shifts I’ve worked (6-3pm) are also quite stressful but again, I don’t handle stress well.

We get hit with really bad rushes here at our McDonald's because were on a super busy street so I'm used to stressful situations. Thank you :)

I know this doesn’t answer your question but I literally just got hired at Starbucks today. I know a couple of people who work there who used to work at McDonald’s. They say it is so much better working at Starbucks.
