Short: sbux cares more about a $5 frap than its partners.
Grande: my store has a regular who gets a power trip out of belittling our baristas. She gets the same crap every time, but there’s 3-4 modifications that we are all expected to know. Fine, whatever. But the thing is you can make the drink exactly to her specifications and before even tasting the drink she claims it’s wrong and that we need to remake it. She really loves doing this to green beans and you can often hear her shout to the person on till (but toward the partner on bar) “um do they know how to make MY DRINK?” Even worse, if someone with seniority makes her drink (SM, long time SSV) it doesn’t matter how the drink is made, she’s happy with it. All of my fellow partners are fed up with her and being bullied everyday at work by her, and we’ve even had customers complain. But it doesn’t matter. Were being coached to “just say yes” and “make the moment right”.
