i got to witness instant karma today(self.starbucksbaristas)

it’s something that every barista dreams of.
now i don’t usually wish ill on people, but it’s really agitating when you’re on window and someone orders a drink and you repeat their order back to them to make sure you got it right, they confirm it’s right, and you know the rest. well, there’s been too many times where someone orders an iced drink and then when they get to the window, they decide to lay this one on you, “that was supposed to be hot.” or vice-versa. now you know for a FACT that you got their order right the first time and for some reason in their brain they decided to change it at the last second. which causes a huge slow down in the line and causes a mini freakout on bar. this is very stressful and f*** you very much.
today a customer ordered an iced caramel macchiato. yes her order was repeated back to her, and yes it was the right one. at the window she says it’s supposed to be hot. we ask if she’d like us to remake it and in a really rude tone says, “just give it to me.” she grabs it by the lid portion of the cup and it spills onto her lap.
the instant joy i felt was immeasurable.
i’ve been having a really rough couple of weeks at work, dealing with entitled customers and all, and it was nice to witness some sweet karma.
ps i promise i’m not a horrible person.

This brought a smile to my face just reading it and envisioning this entire scenario.

I too smiled and even chuckled a little! Karma is great, especially when it’s instant.

Who uses the drive-thru anyway? Just go inside, lazy twats.

Seriously, I'm not a drive-thru guy.

Someone was being rude in the drive window, snappy and short with the barista trying to get her drinks paid for. Her app was short and she was personally offended she had to reload it or pay the difference, etc.
She tried to snatch her nitro from the dtR partner and when she did she squeezed the cup so hard the drink poured out the hole in the lid and all over her front. She got a giant stack of napkins, apologizes, and a heavy hit of karma all at once.

Honestly I had to duck in the back and use my apron over my face to muffle the laughter. The look on her face was amazing.
