My stores mastriana is so screwy it will be fine shots pulling 18-23 all day then suddenly it will pull a 40+ and just keep up that trend for a while. I'm trying to figure out what the trigger is. The only thing I can think is my h2o reservoir got depleted and isn't supplying as fast but I'm pretty sure it let's you know when it isn't filling as fast. Y'all have any idea what it could be?

My store has the same problem. What I’ve found that works to bring it back down is queue a double shot, rinse, another double shot, rinse, another double shot. That should trigger it to adjust the grinds either coarser or finer to get the time back down.

I'll try it were following text book adjustment procedure though.

No clue. That’s when I call facilities and pray to every deity ever imagined that they send the good tech who knows what he’s doing, rather than the tech who’s the opposite, to fix it.

Ya mine never do I think all the good ones keep leaving.

Ours is about 50-50 on which one they send. The not-good one is so ugh that all the shifts and the SM cringe when we see him walk in, and go straight to the conclusion that we’re going to be calling facilities again for the same problem in short order because he’s not going to actually fix it properly.

It's the weather
kattsmeow17 [OP]1 points3y ago
That's what the last repair guy said. Sounds like a crock though. I mean our weather is super dry 90% of the time but I don't think that 30% is really going to make much of difference.

Is it possible that someone cranked the grit while it was pulling a shot? I know that can break the machine permanently.
kattsmeow17 [OP]1 points3y ago
Could be but it will get back to correct pull time eventually.

It totally does. Ambient temperature changes in the cafe, barometric pressure of the atmosphere, weather systems in the area. If it's a low pressure system, you want a fiber grind vs high pressure needing a coarser grind. It's wild!!

Was trying to calibrate my machine and it started at 8 seconds and finally got to 16 than a minute later was pulling 8 second shots again

It's like thing 1 and thing 2 they just do the opposite of what you tell them.
