Tattoos and a nosey customers (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have a wave tattoo on my left ring finger and I had an one customer ask: “are you married or in a relationship?”
Me: fortunately, i am not!
Customer: What would you do about your tattoo once you do become engaged?
Me: if I really love him, I’ll wear the ring
Customer: and what if you don’t [love him]?
Me: ...i’ll say ‘no’ and I won’t marry him
Her expression was just *chefs kiss*
Not really a rant, but definitely annoyed with the sense of entitlement she had to know about my personal life in how she asked her series of questions.
Why are people like this??

I have a rather large Beatles tattoo on my forearm, and I had a older regular at my old store repeatedly tell me that I was too young to even like the Beatles... I always wanted to reply with “Well you’re too old to be alive”
