When my friends ask me to order for them:

Me: so I think you’d like an iced caramel macchiato based on what you said

Friend: okay can you get it for me then

Me: what size should I tell them?

Friend: yeah, an iced caramel whatever

Me: ok, but what size?

Friend: whatever you want

Me: what size do you want? Do you want more or less caffeine

Friend: decaf

Me: ok but what size,

Friend: large or grande whatever

Me: haha Starbucks sizes are super confusing, venti is large, grande is medium

Friend: grande

Me: *internal screaming*

I had someone one time order a “vanilla powder, chocolate powder, with whip, coconut milk latte...16 Oz” which first of all wtf but then I asked iced or hot and they said “I SAID LATTE” I was dyING by the time they pulled up to the window

The other day we had a woman order an extra hot mocha instead of saying extra shot. She goes I said EXTRA SHOT.So my petty ass instead of adding a shot I remake her drink completely like the good little barista that I am.

My coworker calls it out as a double tall mocha, she doesn’t move. She points at this woman and says i think you’re waiting for a double tall mocha. She goes no Im waiting for a mocha with 2 shots. I didn’t order this.

Don’t you know having the latte BEFORE the decaf makes all the difference???

guy came in drive thru, ordered a “medium black coffee and a pumpkin latte”

[at the window]
“alright, here is your grande pike and-“
“no i didn’t order that.”
“... sorry is this the wrong order?”
“yeah no i didn’t order a pike.”

okay so i delete his order and ask him what it was.

“a medium black coffee and a pumpkin latte!”
“yes, our original order for you was a grande black coffee and a pumpkin spice latte..”
“i didn’t order whatever a pike is.”
“pike is our black coffee”
“are you sure??”
