Customer: “Can I get a tall hot caramel macchiato grande?”

Me: “Okay, and which size did you want?”

Customer, *now extremely pissed*: “I SAID, a TALL. HOT. CARAMEL MACCHIATO. *GRANDE*.”

Me, an intellectual: “Ma’am, you’re giving me two different drink sizes, so unless you’re ordering two different drinks, I need you to pick one.”

Same thing happened to me the other day when she just kept yelling “LARGE GRANDE caramel Frappuccino” so I gave up and just repeated back a Venti caramel frap and she sighed and said “NO! I SAID GRANDE! “ So I made her a grande and when I handed it to her she said “why was that so hard” and walked away

Well here’s the kicker: she told me that that’s how she always orders her drink and that “The Other Starbucks” always just makes her order for her.

So I had to visually show her a tall and a grande cup so she could finally just choose the size she wanted (she chose the grande size). And then I told her, “Alright, so this is the grande size, and when you place your order next time you just need to say a grande caramel macchiato.”

Where’s this “Other Starbucks” because it sounds like a dope place to go when I’m off. Sounds like I can get free shit as long as I have a bad attitude if I go there.

I hate the whole “other” starbucks concept. If you like that store so much just go back there 🙄 I understand we’re all supposed to be pretty standard, but honestly that’s unrealistic. So I feel like it’s only fair for customers to learn how to properly tell us their order so we can make it to their liking

Whenever people do that I just want to say, “Yes, say what you said, but slower. Let’s see if we can use our big brains to figure out what’s wrong here.”
