Nope! I was the first of my store’s wave of new hires that got online modules and nothing else. My training on register was one of my coworkers showing me how to ring in an iced coffee with no classic and then her shift ended. I learned very fast though and now I main on bar and I am training to be a barista trainer in the coming weeks!
The two hires after me got /some/ proper training, one of whom caught on very quickly and another who is still struggling after three and a half months.
The hires after those two got absolutely no training whatsoever other than the modules. One still rings in iced coffee with liquid cane sugar and iced teas with classic. Another cannot comprehend that they need to press the “iced” button for a chai tea latte, caramel macchiato, etc to actually be iced. Another has no understanding that we need to be in somewhat of a hurry, and also does not understand that when we sticker cups, we need to put the cups in order (no, if I take the two at the front of the line, you don’t put the two you just stickered in that place. it does not work like that).
So, my store’s been struggling a lot with training.

No x2 for me. I started in one very busy drive through store, had a trainer for a day and then was on drive through window for my whole 3 months there. Transferred and was promised by the sm that she would personally train me because I didn’t feel confident with how much I didn’t know. Again a one day of training and sent on my own. She’s cool though and I’m now a trainer scheduled off the floor so I can actually train my new green bean tomorrow, so at least she realized her mistake and I get to prevent it from happening to someone else.

Yep! My store trains pretty well lmao I always feel bad when I read about everyone not being trained well or when people on here ask how to do/make super basic stuff.

I haven't trained anyone since I got promoted to shift. We train for other stores at my location and I have no clue what Starbucks or maybe my SM is doing literally no one is getting training.. Your given modules to complete all at once then your thrown on the floor. Two years ago when I got hired training was legit. You wouldnt do all your modules at once. You would do them section by section. After each module is complete you go on the floor and practice what you learned in that module rinse and repeat till modules are done. But nope. It's really difficult and henders the team. It gives me anxiety as a play caller when placing your partners. Because none of these new people can bar at all.. Not enough training or focus on bar
