I’ve had this request once and I did it and told the customer that the ice isn’t made to be blended by itself because there is no crush option. It just clumps the ice and gets stuck. She gave me an attitude, lied and told my then manager I was rude. My manager approached me and I was like well I shouldn’t have done it to begin with because we don’t serve or have crush ice here. I spent like 5 minutes prying ice out at a drive thru location. I will never ever crush ice ever again. It’s ok to stick up for yourself and the policy. Make the moment right and gently explain it can never happen again. “I can provide crushed ice for you this time but our equipment isn’t made to crush ice by itself....” or something like that.
