We call it Cafe Au Lait at my starbucks and for the longest time I was so confused at this request until a costumer explained to me what it was 😢

i came from a shop that also referred to them as au laits and the first time someone asked me for a misto at starbucks i really had to pull one of my partners aside and ask if someone was trying to order miso soup from us

ah no i’m sorry! i worked in a small indie shop before starbucks where we called it an au lait. it was like my first or second day on POS at starbucks when this happened lol

Lol, we had the opposite problem today.
We finally got our brewer fixed (water spout wasn't working), so we couldn't brew coffee or ice coffee for a good 2 hours.
Literally everyone got americanos and whatever was left of the iced coffee.

I would assume it would just be iced coffee or pike and cold milk, like an iced latte, but I wouldn’t quote me on that one
