it might not seem like we (employees) notice the little things but we definitely do. we remember the nicest ones such as yourself and the stupidly rude ones.
honestly it seems like you do more than enough, don’t be scared to make conversation with the baristas! you’re the kind of customer we remember and notice :)

I just called Starbucks and had them send over the praise to the district and store manager. ALL THANKS TO YOU!! The guy even said we usually only get negative feedback and it was nice to get something positive. YOU’RE AWESOME! If you come up with other ideas please let me know! But you did more than enough! I hope something good comes out of it!

Thanks for ruining my life. That was actually the worst advice ever. I feel so embarrassed now. I should have just praise the staff in general instead of mainly one girl for keeping the store very clean.
She ended up approaching a different customer and giving him a free snack and talked to him and gave him her social media and now I feel like a chump.
I’m embarrassed and ashamed in front of the district and store manager and who knows who else because I praised her specifically. They probably figured I did it because I liked her since she’s attractive and I look like a fool.
I should have just praised the store only and not just one person. Shame.

You are doing incredible!! I always remember and notice the small "thank you"s when customers grab their drinks. (and when they come in again and I remember them, they're bound to get a beautiful drink) Please don't be afraid to talk to the baristas either! (unless they look like they're insanely busy lol) I am always so grateful for conversations with people other than my coworkers and other than the usual small talk (: You seem like an incredibly nice human being and Im sure the baristas at your local starbucks recognize that! You could always make conversation by asking the baristas favorite drink (great way to find new drinks too)
Thank you for being kind to your baristas, God knows they need it some days!

The funny thing is I always say thank you and they never respond or look at me and I wonder if they heard me or if I sounded insincere, but over time I just figured they receive it and a response is not typical. Sometimes I thank them again later on usually before I leave because one I want an excuse to say anything to them and two to show I appreciate them.
I always have a fear of taking up people’s time or don’t see myself as worthy to be talking to them so I’m quick to stoop conversation or look for signs which I’ve probably been misinterpreting most of the time but your advice gave me so much assurance. I think I should just try my best not worry about intruding people’s time with conversation and allow them to stop the conversation. Because I really am scared and have a hard time talking to many people and I just need to feel loved but also be allow to share my love with others more freely. That’s part of the reason why I show my love by doing things like wanting to clean the bathrooms, because it doesn’t involve my fear of opening up personally. From now on, every time I’m scared of taking someone’s time, I will remember YOU for being so grateful. I will pretend I’m talking to you, someone who loves and accepts and welcomes me if I’m nervous. THANK YOU for changing my way of thinking! And thanks for the favorite drink tip! That helps me come up with other creative questions that focus on them!

Next time you feel like you’re wasting a baristas time, just remember you’re not a rude customer demanding their drink be remade 3 times. (-: When someone says thank you for their drink I always try and smile and say “of course!” or something along those lines. I’m sure the baristas are thinking it if they’re not saying it! Please don’t worry about wasting their time, i’m sure they’re rather talk to you than make their 900th peppermint mocha of the day or doing dishes. My current favorite thing at the moment is a strawberry acid refresher blended. or cold brew with egg nogg cold foam (not a menu item).
