Why are people so impatient(self.starbucksbaristas)

Had a customer complain to me that we wasted his personal time because it took 16 minutes for him to get his drinks today. Not 16 minutes waiting at the bar, but 16 minutes from getting to the store to getting his drinks. All that happened was 3 people happened to show up before him and order a couple drinks each. What’s the shortest amount of time waiting that you’ve had somebody freak out over?

8 minutes. mobile order picked up through dt, her egg bites hadn't been put in yet. I popped them in, went over to tell her, got chewed out and asked for my manager. good news is i ate her egg bites, and they were delicious.

Last night a lady was loudly complaining at the hand off about "mobile orders taking forever lately" and she was starting to make a scene. I asked her name and said I'd be happy to check on her drink (it was busy)...y'all the absolute joy I felt in my whole body when we discovered that she had not even submitted her mobile order and felt so bad she apologized was everything.

That’s my favourite. I worked in a mall that had two locations, so we always had to redirect them to the west location as we were the east. Was always nice to turn the snotty ones away when they realize they ordered to the wrong store

Had a lady ask me if I was gonna just stand there or make her drink meanwhile I’m cleaning my bar area off while the milk is steaming and the shots were pouring mind you I started making the drink as soon as I heard her order it since it wasn’t busy so the sticker had just popped out the machine. It felt so great to tell her that I already started making it in a subtle fuck off tone
Then there’s this old lady that starts picking up mobile orders as soon as she orders her drink it’s so sweet bc she means well and she gets so excited sometimes when I’m bringing them out but then I remind her I’m gonna call her when her drink is out

Seconds. She wanted espresso over ice. We have one espresso machine at my location.

I know that was asked a while ago but i just had to share mine, a lady waited 5 minutes (I checked her sticker) for her drink which was blending before she started complaining. But the worst part was I was solo baring and 4 people were in front of her (ordered 2 drinks each) so drive had to start making there own drinks for a minute whilst I made front drinks. I gave her her drink and she starting saying how we were incompetent and the worst employs ever like ???

3 minutes for a remade decaf mocha. Why? Who knows. He comes in all the time anyway, so IDK what the meltdown did other than save him 4 bucks.
