Any tips for sequencing and remembering frap recipes? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by synthwave18
I’m OK at sequencing, but I definitely suck at it. Does anyone have any tips to make it easier? I also am having a hard time remembering how to make different fraps. Any advice is appreciated!

Basically what helped me was thinking of each drink as a basic drink with different syrups/toppings instead of remembering each individual drink. So like instead of remembering mocha AND vanilla latte AND caramel brûlée etc., they’re all just lattes with mocha/vanilla/brûlée etc. Same goes for fraps!! Coffee based is a coffee frap with whatever other syrups/powders. Cream based is coffee based minus the coffee in my mind if that makes sense😂 you’ll get it with time too! Don’t worry and good luck🥳 edit to add: the syrups are usually in the name of the drink so that helps my method too.

This helps a lot thank you!! I’m usually better with hot bar because I feel like it’s all spelled out on the sticker, but with fraps I usually go “wtf is this”. Like today when I had to make three mocha cookie crumbles, and learned the only difference is the whip and topping at the bottom

I honestly hate mocha cookie crumbles so much lmao. It’s tedious and not as intuitive. But yeah! If I’m ever confused I always know I can ask my partners.

I feel lucky that everyone at my store is really supportive and nice, even with my socially awkward ass they make me feel like it’s okay to ask 100,000 questions whenever I’m doing something

And that’s so important!! I believe in you. It took me like 3 months to really feel solid on bar and sometimes I still have bad days. You got it!

I’m only 3 months in. I feel you.
2, 3, 4 is always in my brain over there and it’s across the board.
So frap roast + whole milk (or other)
Pour into blender
Base (2, 3, 4) anything else (2, 3, 4)
Ice by size.
It’s learning the whips/toppings that’s extra.
The rest is 2, 3, 4.

What helped me is watching videos and reading more about the way they're made. Having practice ones helps too! Remember the basics of it are the same no matter the flavor of frappé.
