If it’s any comfort, I manage an engineering team full of six figure employees and I still need to do this when an executive is coming for lab tours. Some shit doesn’t change when you put away the apron.

That’s annoying for you. SMs shouldn’t stress their employees out when their DM is coming, baristas often get intimidated by the DMs that way when they should be approachable to all baristas. My DM and regional director are coming to my store tomorrow morning and I had to tell someone not to come early when I learned they planned to.
