submitted by Souperpie84
so I'm starting my floor training tomorrow, and just my luck! I sprained my left hand (I'm left handed) about the only thing I can't do with this brace on is write so I'm assuming I should be fine? But I just want to make sure

Actually depending on your your store manager, you won't be able to do anything. Because of health and safety we are not allowed to work with wrist braces on because they cannot be watch as frequent as we are supposed to be watching our hands on the floor. But it all depends on your store manager. I'd reach out and just explain what happened if they do not know already and make sure it is completly okay to be working with a wrist brace on.

Every store manager is different and yours may not follow this. I would ask them about it and bring it. If they say something about it then take it off for work.

ok then I'll do that

Please be very careful not to injure yourself further. The little movements we do with our hands every shift really takes a toll. I ended up getting tendinitis shortly after I started about a year ago. Take an ibuprofen before work, ice when you get home, all the usual stuff you’d do for a sprain. I hope it heals quickly!
