Got called a bitch and an idiot barista by two separate customers. Why? Because I made their drinks to standard.

Gotta love the service industry 😤 I’m sorry you dealt with that shit. Every shift I work I’m more and more convinced that nobody knows what they’re ordering from me, or yelling at me about! I had three separate customers last week, within the span of an hour, upset with me because there was too much foam in their cappuccinos.

Exactly! I really want to start sitting people down and just calmly explain they actually have no concept of the drinks they order. Don't ruin someone's day because you can't understand your "usual" order without some serious hand holding.

I’m sure half the people ordering cappuccinos have no idea what they are, it’s just a familiar coffee word and sounds fancy so they get it. The amount of complaints about foam or just scrunched faces after they take a sip is enough proof

I got bitched at yesterday because our store was out of stoppers. “I said oh I’m so sorry we are out today.” And I usually offer a second lid to stop at least some of the splashing. She huffed and puffed at me and said “well I guess I’ll try to just not burn myself!” And I’m like “uh yeah. I would do the same.” Then she went to my supervisor and said “the one with blue hair said your out of stoppers.” (That’s how people refer to me. The one with blue hair. 😂) and guess what!? My supervisor told her the exact same thing! 😂

Apparently. 😂 most people are polite and call me by name but there are those few who won’t even look at my name tag. It’s whatever. Can’t please them all but I wish people would realize that if they were nicer they are more likely to get better service. Why would I go out of my way to find you a stopper (when it’s on the load still) when you are being rude. Sorry have fun burning yourself. 😂
