Starbucks Dreams (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by golden_pinky
So everytime we have an insanely busy day, I dream about Starbucks all night. Last night I just kept dreaming and waking up thinking I was making drinks in my bed. Kept thinking that they need to move the sticker machine out of my bedroom because I can't even read them in the dark and I deserve to sleep.

Could also be because I drank a bunch of ice. Coffee which I'm not used to doing.

I was at a store the other day (that wasn’t my home store and it was empty aside from me and a couple others sitting in the lobby) and I heard and saw their mobile ticket printer go off and my dumb ass started to shout “Mobile!” 😅

I used to have the same dreams after busy shifts, but now that I switched from opener to a closer I’m not as stressed so I don’t get them near as often

I took a “leave of absence” (aka a quit and came back a month later, to a different store, different shifts) so I don’t know that I’m much help. I did miss working at the bucks though and making money, which is ultimately why I came back.

I’d cut back your hours and maybe think about seeing a therapist/psychiatrist

Good luck friend <3

Haha I'm just kidding. Tbh with you, I've been suffering through retail for almost a decade at this point and I'm pretty desensitized. I think nobody can handle happy hour though. I'm okay, I've made peace with corporate America.

This literally happens to me all the time. I open almost every day, and whenever I fall asleep (nap or actual sleep) this happens. I woke up in cold sweats once because drinks kept coming and everyone was looking at me for answers and asking everything they possibly could, with a bunch of crazy customers staring at me. It was awful lol. I probably need a vacation lol
