Ok so this morning I get a customer who wants a grande coffee but in a venti cup. *Pours grande amount ☕️ in the venti cup and hands it to customer*
Customer : umm can you put more in here
Barista: *smirking inside cause I know you don’t want to 💰 for a damn venti so think by asking me to pour more coffee you somehow out smart me* pours One quick pour returns cup to customer
Customer: umm really that’s all you are gunna give me?
Barista: Sir you asked for a grande sized coffee in a venti cup if you wanted more coffee then you should have ordered a venti, now have a nice day.
Customer: Looks in shock thinking oh damn I didn’t think she would say something .. Then says thank you and leaves

Fucking for reals. I’m tired of telling these penny pinching fucks sorry I’m not upgrading your drink for free because you asked for a grande in a venti, that’s not how it works. All these old ladies giving me dirty looks like I cheated them somehow.

Haha and for me it’s the older men like I don’t get it.. next time I’m gunna get a grande cup fill it with coffee then pour it in venti and see how they react lol

My favorite is an iced espresso and then they ask for light ice and then ask for the rest with milk, I let them know that’s a latte.

9 times out of 10 I just eyeball it but one time I had this man tell me it wasn’t enough and he was like “if you measure it using a grande cup you’ll see it’s not enough” so he had me fill a grande cup to the rim and pour it into the venti cup and it’s literally a venti coffee with room.
