I'm not sure if I'm right or not, but I used to do this and my old SSV said it wasnt food safe cuz the straw is touching the lip of the dome lid. Buuuut she was also kinda coocoo.

The straws in the middle of the dome lids keep them from falling off, so you can stack them higher. :)

We do that all the time. I stuff a few straw in to make it stronger and stack those babies up!
