Not really Sbux-related, but funny lil anecdote that happened at work today. (self.starbucksbaristas)

So, I'm 30 years old, and one of like 5 of the store's employees who isn't a teenager. To be specific, I'm the 3rd from the oldest of all the partners, which is a totally new experience for me because I've literally been "the baby" my whole life. My only sibling is 7 years older than me, and besides my bff (who's 1 yr older than me) and my husband (2.5 yrs older), all my friends are about 4-7 years older than me, cousins, all 12-20 years older than me, etc.
So, today while I'm in drive, a guy pulls up who, to me, looked SUPER like Andre 3000.
Of course I mention it him (fuckin cUsToMeR cOnNeCtIoNs, amiright 😖🥴 - jk, would've said this to him regardless) and asked if he got asked that a lot. He said never heard A3000 but a couple other rappers who I can't recall atm cause I was fucking SH-O-C-K-ED people weren't seeing what I was (literally. they could have for *sure* been fraternal twins. It's still wiggin me out just thinking about it - obviously..)
So anyway, I HAD to share this anomaly with *someone* and the closest to me was my teammate [Laura] who *just* turned 19 last
week. So after I get Laura's attention, the rest of the convo goes as follows:
Me - Laura! Doesn't this guy look *exactly* like Andre 3000???
Laura - Who?
Me - This guy! Customer at the window! (Customer smiles and waves as her to signify that he is the person I was referring to)
L - Idk who Andre 3000 is.
Customer and I, both locked in lifelessly blank stares of pure shock for about 4 seconds.
Me - Ya know, Outkast? Andre 3000??
Laura - Idk who Outkast is?
I turned towards the customer, he turned towards me. Without even voicing the tiniest of words, we knew we had to lean on each other and be each other's pillar of strength and support during this time of dire straits caused by our first significant brush with a generation gap...
Idc if you *are* a Gen Z'er. If you're in your higher-mid/late teens or early 20's, there is ***NO*** logical reason for you to be COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF OUTKAST AND IT'S FOUNDING FATHERS, GOOD ***DAY*** TO YOU SIR

I'm almost 26 and I've had some EXPERIENCES with the younger folks I work with.
1. Our youngest barista didn't know what Static Shock is, which, that's the most understandable
2. Someone didn't know what John Lennon looked like
3. This one is really dated but another didn't know what Rocky Horror Picture Show is
And I'm over here feeling like I've been alive since the dawn of time.

this was at another job but im 21 and i had mostly coworkers between the ages of 15-18ish and i mentioned weird al and only my other 21 year old coworker knew AT ALL who i was talking about
