When your store is nowhere near a shopping center so you get to spend your whole shift washing dishes (when I started, it was so opaque it looked like it still had tea in it)(i.redd.it)

I opened this morning at a grocery store Starbucks in a town that doesn't have a shopping center either. We were so busy on Thanksgiving, but today was so slow.... You did a fantastic job!

Honestly I love when I get put on dish duty. Making things clean is really relaxing to me tbh

HOW?!

The trick is to use an urnex tablet and the hot tea water. These pitchers come out like brand new in 5 min without scrubbing needed.

I’ve used those things to get our steam wand cleaned when it’s been neglected for too long at closing. Works so well.
But good to know about them being good for the pitchers too.
bbun2231 points3y ago
Ooo I’ve never tried them with the steam wand. We usually just do hot tea water and a cafiza pill every night for our wands.

Not supposed to use ANY chemicals on the steam wand. If you soak the wand in hot water, it comes clean with a rag...

To be fair, maybe I’m confusing the two tablets.
I’m wondering if either would work well on our floor drains, we can never seem to get those looking good.

yes! Orrrr if you’re feeling like you wanna be extra rebellious, I use a little bit of restroom cleaner and a bar towel. This involves scrubbing but I had time so I figured why not
mango_drango6 points3y ago
You don’t need the restroom cleaner. You can get it clean with just the white towel.

you right but it smell güd
psych-d [OP]1 points3y ago
just make sure you wash it again afterward so you don’t die from bleach lmao

So jealous can I come
GRATWSHIG0 points3y ago
Do you use that for the green tea, etc.?
psych-d [OP]4 points3y ago
yeah! It holds the same amount as the other pitcher that I’ve seen (like the one with the different colored lids for lemonade and such) idk why we have these
GRATWSHIG3 points3y ago
Wow, that's neat!

They’re switching over to these (and new inclusion containers) when they remodel or build new stores (they can also be ordered if so desired). Nobody in our store seems to want to tighten the bolt on the nozzle though so we constantly get leaky ones
