earlier today in drive thru:
Me: it’s going to be $4.95
Customer: give me the drink first
Me: *taken aback* sorry I need your payment first.
*side note* I always do an exchange but when he has said that I kept the drink inside.
Customer: I want my drink first.
Me: sorry I need your form of payment first
Customer: idc give me the drink
Me: sorry someone drove off with the drink before so we’re not allowed to give the drink without payment
Customer: that has nothing to do with me, give me my drink.
Me: sorry it’s my job. I need your payment first.
*at this point I realize he’s not being reasonable so I closed the window shut manually and went to grab the shift in charge and while I was doing this, apparently he grabbed out top box and ripped up the tips. My shift got a picture of his license plate. So I beg him to pls call corporate and we have evidence of the tips ripped and his license plate. :)

Holy shit ripping up US dollars (not sure if applies in other countries) is illegal lmao. He can get in serious trouble for that. Also, what a fucking cunt. I would've told him the same thing you had said but would've taken in the tips because customers are unpredictable if they're obviously very irritated you never know the crazy shit they'll do . I am quite surprised he didn't just steal the tips. Some people are nuts. 🙄

I'm in no way condoning what happened. At all. I'm just confused because that is cash. Like... Take the cash. I don't understand how you can look at perfectly good money and be like yep. Gonna rip that up now.

when you're at a fucking drive thru and the guy just refuses to give payment before he gets his drink you know he was planning to just book it lmao. this is also why we refuse to make drinks before someone pays for it at our kiosk because people will just run out the door if we're too soft on them
