It does r have the types of shirts we can wear, the don’t really say what pant materials are allowed and it’s just a very vague description of everything.

This is correct, which is why they don’t limit the types of shirts. Just in color pallet and no exposed midsection, shoulders, or armpits. There’s a more in detail guideline if you search dress code guideline on partner hub.

Vague is way better than specific, at least to me. There's more leeway when it's more vague. Just follow the color pallete and don't wear work out gear.

Subtle patterns and flannels that are within the color palette are okay. Pants can no longer have patterns. Basically they don’t want attention drawn away from the apron.

You are not permitted to wear buttons or pins that advocate a political, religious or personal issue. Pins may not interfere with safety, threaten to harm customer relations or otherwise unreasonably interfere with Starbucks public image. For food-safety purposes, all pins must be securely fastened at all times.

It’s about the exact same but the new guideline also says one pin representing a labor organization of the baristas choice. Which doesn’t make sense to me because why would we wear a carpenters union pin? I’m assuming they meant something else and it’ll get updated to charitable organization or something. There is also a stipulation about manager discretion as well.

It’s mostly to cover their ass. If they say we can’t wear a union pin, they’ll get flak for being anti-union. They have to at least appear to be okay with organizing.

I opened Sunday morning and I wore a an XL T-shirt (I’m 5’1) that came down to my knees with some leggings underneath. Only worked a four hour shift and boy it was the comfiest I’d ever been.

Follow the guidelines set forth by whichever SM you’re working under. If you’re in your new store on the 4th, for example, then follow their rules. If you’re wanting to get a facial piercing (again just an example) I’d wait until the 7th.

This always perplexed me about starbucks baristas. In every food place I’ve worked at, bottoms shorter than ankle-length are a hazard. I walk into a licensed store and see some dude in shorts slightly longer than the apron and hope he never spills steamed milk on himself.

In summer, my shorts are shorter than my apron. I’ve never had a problem with getting anything on my legs. Also in winter my pants stay pretty clean. I just get shit all over my arms and apron.

It's possible that its still a little open at this point, since its been pierced twice. Your piercer might suggest having it 'stretched' open if they think it hasn't closed all the way.

You are incorrect. The old one specified the only piercings allowed were two ear and one nose stud, all other piercings not specified were implied not allowed. This one says one facial piercing allowed, no tongue stud or dermal implants. It doesn’t on the above communication but the dress code guidelines posted in the partner hub does. If you like I can take a picture, post and link it. I’d rather not since I already worked 10 hours today but to prevent the spread of misinformation to my fellow partners I will.
