Any suggestions? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Blu3yedghostgirl
Hey y’all some I’m a shift manager that’s trying to become an ASM and I work at a pretty Hugh volume store. I was looking for advice or new suggestions on cleaning and I’m probably not wording any of this correctly, but I have been put in charge of/responsible for ensuring cleaning tasks are getting done properly and to standard, not that we don’t do them already. I was just looking for insight on how other stores go about following proper cleaning and what not and if anyone had any suggestions for helping new partners with cleaning tasks that would be super helpful too and we already use our clean play cards. I was also looking for insight on how other stores go about teaching sequences and any advice anyone has on that would be greatly appreciated too. Thank you so much!!

I was talking with someone the other day about how CP might be more efficient (especially with newer, learning partners or partners who might not want to stay as late) if tasks were separated into different nights. Not a certainty yet, but a thought.

You can also focus on training baristas that during any minute where they're thinking, they should be thinking with a rag in hand. If you're trying to come up with what you need to do next, you should be wiping something down while you're thinking, ya know what I mean?

Also, promoting the focus on deep cleaning/cleaning on/around/under things is something that people sometimes forget, and especially as the winter weather is coming in, making sure big cleaning tasks get done during the day.

Idk if that helps, but those are things I've noticed are important
