We literally had a lady call us from the drive thru line telling us to hurry up and make the line go faster cause she has things to do. She like legit called into the store and said “can you please hurry the fucking line I’m in a rush”. Like really Karen you couldn’t get down which probably would’ve been easier. I literally hanged up the phone and told my shift “I’m about to clock out and go fight this Karen”. She then told me to go on my ten and eat the other half of her banana nut bread to calm down.

My favorite is the person who gets to the window super heated and takes 5 mins telling me how she is going to be late now and oh by the way this was supposed to be iced and do you have pumpkin cold brew? Hold on my coworker just texted that she needs 3 DSB and 24 PVBS and a traveler but I don’t want to leave this window bc you’re gonna make me wait longer

Like they’re “in a rush” but have time to make a complicated order

And maybe just maybe, you’re making the line longer too???

Oh wow. That happened to me three to four weeks ago when we only had 3 employees in store (including me, 3 exactly). Someone calls as I was DT bar+warming+cafe register and she’s all “can you hurry in DT? I’m gonna be late for my appointment!” “We only have 3 employees and are trying.” “Yeah, but can you go faster though? Cafe is going faster and how dare!” So I respond with “we will do our best! Have a good day! *click*”
I think everyone needs to work in customer service for 5+ years before they’re allowed to order at Starbucks or any food/bev place......
