I used to stack the drink trays and syrups in a way that only someone pretty tall would be able to see me make drinks — sadly my manager made me put them back once she noticed

Kiosk location... I started pretending they were big fans staring at the celebrity. One guy once stared the whole time and said “Wow It’s amazing to see you multitask.”

To be fair I was on single duty making his drink, washing pitchers, and ringing up another person at the same time.

Weird thing, though, as much as I don't like people's underage spawn, if the kids don't climb on chairs or knock things off shelves, I actually really like when little kids watch. They don't ask the entitled, demanding questions adults do, they just stare in mesmerized wonder at the green-clad figure flitting about before them, then murmuring the sweetest and most impressed "thank you" in existence before holding their tiny hot chocolate like a butterfly they're afraid to crush

One of my old partners said she would actively ask people to back up when she was pregnant cause it would stress her out so much!
The worst, though, are the people who line up AS CLOSE AS THEY CAN GET and start to grab a drink whenever you go to call it out. 😩
