Transferring from the Roastery (self.starbucksbaristas)

Needing a lil advice!

So I work at the NYC Roastery but I’m thinking of transferring to core. I just feel like it gets overwhelming having to represent it and I get customers on the daily complaining about how we don’t have the regular menu. ( I get a lil bummed that I can’t markout a peppermint mocha too)
It’s been so hard to go more than two days of work because I get burnt out sooo easily. Of course I have reasons why I love it, but this is why I wanted some opinions from partners who work at core! I’ve had coworkers telling me that core is better, so is it worth the switch?

My biggest advice would be to spend time in a store before deciding to transfer, i live in SF so some Starbucks are wicked busy and the employees are awful and the management is a shit show. Some stores are wonderful and have great partners who love to help each other out. I would assume NYC is similar or even worse in parts. I've been with my store 3 years and i LOVE it, so if you're unhappy than yes its worth it, but dont go in blind

I think a workday without a Frappuccino order would be a glorious thing.

I definitely feel like the craft is what makes me love working there! We hold latte art throwdowns and beverage innovation contests and I think it's really cool. But I do think since it's in NYC most of the customers do not care either haha, alot of people come in just wanting their coffee as fast as possible and I've had customers yell at me "I JUST WANT A REGULAR COFFEE" and people getting genuinely upset about our menu and that's partly why I'd like to transfer. It's kind of a mood killer to see people be so unappreciative. But I could imagine that core has its downsides too, so that's why I'm in a lil bit of a dilemma lol
