Had a lady ask me today to ‘dome the foam’. Worked here for 5 years and never heard the term before. Customer looked at me like I was stupid and I told her she’d have to explain what she wanted.
Apparently it’s just a no foam latte but then you scoop a layer of foam onto the top to make a ‘dome’ of foam on top.
Why do people come up with these obscure terms and expect them to be universally known?
