Mobile ordered 8 frappuccinos at 7:30am and then came here to pick them up 35 minutes later and made us remake all of them because they sat for too long...... (i.redd.it)

whenever a mobile order comes out it says it’ll be ready in 8–10 minutes and if you’re further away it’ll suggest a different store. so why do i have to remake it if you’re thirty five minutes late?

I used to work for Sbux, and I swear- sometimes I think certain people would do that shit on purpose just for fun. Like, they get a kick out of telling someone off and having their drink remade like they’re special or something.

I have a sort of regular customer that I think is like that. So obnoxious. I think it would actually surprise them to learn that I am just a *normal adult doing their job*

I know! I bet if you could, you’d delay making their drink a bit. But that’s impractical, unfortunately, because what if you had a rush? There’s no way you could remember a drink later on during a rush. Or if someone forgets to make it.

I think the cost of ingredients vs price of drinks is probably such that they're still making a lot of money.

Yes and no - from a store manager’s perspective - cost of product - cost of cups - labor cost - extra labor cost because 8 mobile remade frappuccinos in peak makes stuff go wrong - keeps going wrong - people leave late - cost of straws. Yeah Starbucks makes a shit ton, and this varies from store to store, but it isn’t as much as you would think

Is it policy that we have to remake them or were you guys just trying to keep her happy? I would have told her that if she wanted me to remake them I would have to zipper in with the regular 8am rush meaning she’s going to wait like 10 minutes for 8 drinks. If there wasn’t anything wrong besides her taking too long then I’m not going to prioritize 8 fraps because she couldn’t get here earlier.

technically we can remake a drink 2 times to keep the customer happy. i’m not entirely sure if it applies to mobile orders that haven’t been tasted but i know it applies to cafe orders and mobile orders that have been tasted

It’s part of the core beverage line up now (at least in my district, idk if it varies?) but yes a lot of stores still have the caramel crunch and the cookie crumble :(
