SM just sent the shifts a text this morning informing us that were all getting a raise for the new year. is this company wide or is it based on my city raising minimum wage? Its literally like $3 an hour higher so I'm hyped

I doubt it's a national thing. Our baristas only make 9 starting out, and I make barely more than 11 as a new shift.

I’ve only heard of everyone getting a raise for minimum wage. Is where you live raising the minimum?

Not that ive heard of but baristas are going from 12.50 to 15 and shifts are going from 15.30 to 18.30

I heard that it was 3% not 3$. which brings a new barista pay in my area up to 12.36, and a new SSV up to 15.08. If it really is 3$ that would be great. because $15/hour isn't enough to keep me here.
